Welcome to the first Photoshop Phriday post, where I muse on Michigan sports history and butcher famous pictures by inserting loaves of bread into them!
Three Michigan football players have won the Heisman trophy: Tom Harmon (1940), Desmond Howard (1991), and Charles Woodson (1997). Woodson has the distinction of being the only mainly defensive player to win the award, though he also returned kicks and sometimes lined up at receiver.
Like Desmond Howard (immortalized here in true Bakers & Best style), Woodson sealed the deal on his Heisman trophy during the last game of the season against OSU. And, like Howard, he had an incredible punt return for a touchdown in the second quarter of that game. Not as many people know about Woodson the bread aficionado, who can be seen here keeping safe a multigrain seeded loaf from a carb hungry horde of OSU special teams players.
