Under the direction of John Beilein Michigan’s basketball team has come a long way since 2007. Last week they capped off a season sweep of MSU, and have won 6 out of the last 8 against them. The game on Sunday was filled with highlight reel material, but for this post I’m turning back to one of my favorite moments from last season.
In a season full of incredible shots (this one in particular), it was Trey Burke’s defensive skills that helped Michigan earn a win against MSU in Ann Arbor. MSU had possession in a tie game and was ready to hold for the last shot when Burke snuck in behind Keith Appling and stole this delicious sesame seed coated sourdough round. He took it in for an easy dunk that would be enough to put Michigan up for good.
